ExplorMine Consultants together with its partner, Delma Projects in Lesotho, is excited to be involved in the development of an alluvial diamond project in northeastern Lesotho, in the Mokhotlong District.
The project is located on a 13.2 square kilometer prospecting license for which the application has been submitted, with a pending EIA.
Anecdotal reports from the local community indicates that diamonds were recovered by illegal miners in 2017, however the miners were forced to leave the area by the local community.
The alluvial diamonds appear to have been sourced from the important northeastern Lesotho diamond field, which is the source of the bulk of diamond production in the Kingdom of Lesotho.
The project has yet to be subjected to a systematic exploration and sampling programme. ExplorMine is currently actively seeking investment partners for the project.
